71 Reasons to celebrate: the achievements of the 2025 graduating matric class.

SAHETI School in Senderwood, Gauteng has reason to celebrate as it continues to ensure that all 71 matriculants bring home their best results to date. With a strong legacy of academic excellence and an unbroken record of 100% pass rate, the Class of 2025, yet again, achieved an impressive spread of distinctions.  SAHETI’s Matric Class of 2025 clocked in 233 distinctions (with FS Mathematics calculated as a total distinction), and 3.3 distinctions per candidate.

Consistent academic rigour resulted in 24% of the group being ranked in the TOP 1% Nationally in several subjects; 92% of the group achieved at least one distinction or more.  Additionally, 30% of the group achieved a distinction average, with some achieving an average of 90% or higher.  6 Candidates have brought home Full House distinction pass, and an additional 10 candidates obtained 6 distinctions each. 46% of the group sat for  Modern Greek examination, as an eighth subject.

  • Maria Lazanakis was recognized as IEB Outstanding Achiever being ranked within the top 5% in 6 or more subjects and achieving a rating level of 7 in Life Orientation. She achieved 9 distinctions, 7 of which were 90% or higher. She was further ranked Top 1% Nationally for English out of 15 188 candidates Her average was 90%.

 

  • Chrisovalandis Coundouris was awarded IEB Commendable Achiever being ranked within the top 5% in 5 Subjects and achieving a rating level of 7 in Life Orientation. He proudly holds 9 distinctions, 8 of which are 90% and above.  Ranked within the Top 1% in LO, he too, like Maria, was ranked Top 1% Nationally for English out of 15 188 candidates.  He achieved an impressive 92% average

 

  • Praiseworthy full house performances were also achieved by Anthea Boutselis with 9 distinctions, Top 1% Nationally for English and a distinction average of 87%. Eleni Kruger obtained 8 distinctions with a distinction average of 89%.  Daniel Tsoukalas obtained a full house of 7 distinctions, Top 1% Nationally for LO and an average of 87%. Katerina Malamas obtained a full house of 7 distinctions with an average of 80%. These candidates’ results are commendable with many distinctions in the 90% band.

 

SAHETI School continues to reap rewards in training its pupils to analyse, evaluate and synthesise. These skills extend well beyond a national examination and will hold them in good stead as they continue to excel in their studies. Morag Rees, Executive Head states
